My teaching interests focus on integrating natural and social sciences in policy contexts.
I taught graduate courses in integrated assessment and integrated problem solving, a core course in SNRE, that describe the history and dynamics of the science-policy interface, various methods for integrating natural and social sciences through formal models and participatory processes, and the role of peer review and public comment in developing policy options.
I have also taught a series of graduate seminar courses on coastal eutrophication, marine protected areas, and Great Lakes science and management.
